Avoid this dealer if looking to buy a BMW. I purchased a blue 1 Series registration LR63TYW which has been back in Ardens several times in a year. Multiple problems with drive train, Vanos unit, solenoid valve, Programming, handbrake, window rattling, catalyst hot plate loose, and rattling. I was quoted 850 for hot plate repair. This 1 series is not safe to drive. Vehicle drops to 30mph, risk on the roads, and motorways. Car taken in on 3/1/19 after losing power on the motorway. It had been booked in by Terry Groves due to two previous episodes with the drive train in two weeks. Service Manager Gary Paige showed no concern about the vehicle, or my safety. He recently told me the car has multiple faults, and to take it elsewhere. I was contacted by sales manager Darren today, and offered a low settlement for the car. He was only interested in how much profit he could make by reselling the car. He was estimating a 4000 profit for resale despite all the faults I was advised my car was ready for collection, although he did not know what was wrong with it, and a rejection notice issued on 3/1/19.I was asked by Darren to trade it in for another Arden car today, and even offered a Mercedes. I would not purchase another vehicle from Arden BMW, it's not worth the risk to myself or other road users. Despite several visits to Ardens they still couldn't tell me what's wrong with the vehicle. In the last twelve months i've replaced the back brakes, window wiper, and two tyres.Additonally the tracking has been done twice, all extra expense after purchasing a car from a BMW Dealership. The car is faulty, and should not be for resale until fully investigated. This was the most unreliable car I ever purchased, and the service by Arden BMW was poor.
Bmw 535d was recalled due to a battery cable issue work was carried out FOC ever since they had car and ive had it back its never been right,, lazy starting was 1st sign had starter and alternator checked was all fine,, ive had too replace battery twice since been back at a cost of over 100 each time,, what did u actually replace and why is there an issue starting car ever since you had for recall??
My BMW 430d was due a major service, so I booked it in with Arden BMW. Due to a small snagging issue the courtesy car I had booked wasn't available, so the service was rebooked for a few weeks later. Prior to that Gary, the service manager phoned me on the day to apologise on behalf of the company. I accepted, and I turned up today, and Stephen, the service advisor dealt with me professionally and promptly. He gave me a courtesy car, and a few hours later my car was ready. Nice, friendly people to do business with.
Appalling lack of communication Booked in my BMW nearly 3 months ago for a battery cable recall. They phoned me the evening before (short notice but read on) to say they hadn't got the part so re book which I did & was given 21st September between 7-9.30. When I turned up at just after 7, I was told the part wasn't in stock - no phone call beforehand. I was told I'd get a call about it. Come 1100 - no call so I called them. They said they'd get back to me. Come 1430 - still no call so I had to call them again. They said they'd get back to me immediately which they did - 20 minutes later. The excuse I was given was that they have deliveries 1st thing & that I was on my way so they couldn't phone me. However, they couldn't have known I was on my way & anyway, when I turned up, I was told that I "must have slipped through the net". These people really are in a mess but read other reviews on this site & you'll find the same thing despite assurances of an improvement in 'internal processes'.
Someone drove into my car in parking lot, hit and run. Insurance wanted to send my car to non-approved dealer with 1 year workmanship guarantee. I refused. Phoned Arden (BMW approved), their body-shop quoted on same day and car was booked in for the following week. Good service, fast turn around and a very good repair with a 10 year workmanship guarantee. Experienced the kind of service service that I would expect from a mainstream luxury brand such as BMW. Thank you.
